The lotto report: week 13 in numbers

Since you are probably very busy yourself, ELS Lotto will provide an overview of the latest lotto news. What Jackpot was (finally) hit? Which lottery is new or is going to change? Which lotto winners have we seen on the Internet during the past week? Every week, ELS Lotto gives you an overview of the main lottery events, news and tips.

The overview for last week (28 March to 3 April 2016)

291.000 - Ex-boyfriend shares in Jackpot and causes bankruptcy of lotto winner

A 62-year-old lotto winner from America has lost a court case against her ex-boyfriend. He demanded a share of the $ 750,000 on the basis of an alleged verbal agreement. In an article on forbes.com it also states that the jury in Florida decided in his favour, so the winner was ordered to pay $ 291,000. After the court decision, her ex-boyfriend also demanded a further $ 150,000 on lost income interest, which led the winner to file for bankruptcy.

One minute you are almost a millionaire and the next minute you are bankrupt. So be careful what promises you make…

8 - Apologies by National Lottery after publishing wrong bonus numbers

Officials of the National lottery have offered their apologies after the wrong Lucky Star numbers were published as the winning numbers. Where both the Lucky Star numbers 5 and 8 were drawn, the results reported 5 and 6. Of course, this led to a torrent of responses and questions.

The Lucky Star numbers were part of a draw of the EuroMillions with a Jackpot of a staggering £ 19 million.

60 - Lotto winner from Canada goes on another trip to his favourite country of France

The Canadian website of CBC News reports that the winner of the Lotto Max Jackpot is going on another trip. Maurice De Gennaro succeeded in winning the massive Jackpot of $ 60 million and stated that he wanted to spend a part of the money on travelling. Two years ago, Maurice – who loves to travel – had to cut short his trip to France due to an unfortunate fall when he broke an arm and a leg.

Thanks to the dollars won in the Jackpot, France can soon look forward to a visit by the Canadian millionaire. Hopefully, he won’t have to cut his trip short this time...
